If you're already a runner and have heard of "speedwork" or "interval" sessions and wondered what they involve - come along and try something different. If you would like to get faster at running, if you have a goal to complete a 5k, 10k or half marathon in a certain time, or would just like to feel stronger and fitter why not give one of these sessions a go?
 
Running Groups and Circuit Classes held in parks in South Manchester including Stockport, Bramhall, Cheadle, Cheadle Hulme, Sale, Poynton, Hazel Grove.
The training lasts from 45 minutes to 1 hour and each sessions costs £4.
 
 
At the moment we have a group of runners in Bramhall who want to improve their times from last year for Woodford 10k in September and also Bramhall Park Run which is every Saturday morning. I advise on pace and we have some fun completing speedwork and interval sessions.
The sessions are normally held on a Friday morning and Wednesday/Friday evening.
The ladies have been achieving personal bests in recent races such as Bramhall Park 5k and Greater Manchester 10k.

Working out in the fresh air and braving the elements is invigorating, all clients comment on how energised they feel after training in this way.
You work harder because there is an element of competitiveness which also makes it great fun.
 
The circuit sessions focus on working your core stability.
The exercises include the ten best moves to improve your fitness and general physique. Press ups, tricep dips, burpees, squat thrusts, shuttle runs, plank, skipping, ab crunches, lunges, bicep curls. We include a routine for the abs and glutes, very important for improving core stability to correct posture and help avoid injury. All exercises include modifications to suit different abilities.
 
You will feel such a sense of achievement after one of these sessions as your heart rate will have been working so much harder without you even realising it!

I'm in my mid-40's and have been running for just over a year.  I've been running with a local group of women and we asked Julie if she could support our training since a few of us enjoy running occasional 5 and 10k races.  Through both group speed work and individual training sessions, Julie's consistent encouragement for us to try our very best has delivered some amazing results.  In just 3 months, Julie has coached and cajoled me into PBs in two 10k races, both of which exceeded my expectations.  Her training schedules have been challenging but realistic and have given me a real sense of achievement whilst also managing to be fun!  In local 5k races, I have succeeded in getting PBs that I had assumed were beyond me and, with Julie's support, I'm sure there are more to come.  Julie is a fantastic trainer - whatever your age or ability she is unfailingly encouraging and she has the capacity to find your potential, even if you didn't know you had it in you.
