Try Manuka Honey as a healthier alternative to sugar
Why: Manuka honey has been shown to have a higher antibacterial activity than other honeys. This means it can fight infection and reduce inflammation and scarring when used externally and to aid digestion when taken internally.
Manuka honey is delicious in herbal tea, on toast, for cooking and in sauces for chinese or barbeque recipes.
You can buy Manuka honey in most supermarkets, either in the honey or jam section or in the wellbeing/healthy food section. The honey comes in various strengths ranging from Factor 5 to 20, the higher the factor the more expensive it is!
